JEWISH COFFEE CAKE 1/2 lb. margarine 2 c. sugar 4 whole eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 4 c. sifted flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 pt. sour cream 1 tsp. baking soda Mix margarine and sugar. Add eggs; mix well. Add vanilla. Then add sifted flour along with baking powder and salt. Mix well. Add sour cream and soda; mix well. Filling: 1 c. chopped walnuts 1/2 c. sugar 1 Tbsp. cinnamon Makes 2 loaves. Mix sugar, cinnamon and nuts together. Bake in greased and floured pan. Put 1/2 batter in then 1/2 filling on top of batter; then put rest of batter in pan. Sprinkle remaining filling on top of cake. Bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes or until done.
