PLUCKETTS

1 pkg. dry yeast dissolved in
1/4 c. lukewarm water
1 c. scalded milk
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs, well beaten
4 c. flour

Melt butter for dipping. Add sugar, butter and salt to
scalded milk. When cool, add yeast mixture, also eggs and flour
to make a stiff batter. Cover and let rise until double in
bulk. Knead down and let rise again. Form small balls of
dough (size of walnut). Dip in additional melted butter, then
roll each ball in mixture of:
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. ground nutmeats
3 tsp. cinnamon
Pile balls loosely in ungreased angel food cake pan and
let rise 30 minutes. Begin baking at 400 degrees for 10 minutes then
decrease to 350 degrees. Remove from pan immediately. Guest plucks
as much as desired. It can be iced.
