GRANDMA'S BANANA BREAD

1/2 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 medium bananas
2 c. flour (reserve 1/4 c. to
dredge nuts)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
3 Tbsp. sour milk
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. chopped dates

Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs. Beat thoroughly.
Blend in mashed bananas. Mix flour, baking powder and soda
lightly in second bowl. Add dry ingredients and sour milk
alternately to banana mixture. Mix. Fold in nuts and dates
which have been dredged in 1/4 cup flour. Pour into well
greased loaf pan. Bake 55 to 65 minutes at 350 degrees. Slices best
when cold.
