APPLE BREAD 1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 2 Tbsp. sour milk 2 c. diced apples 2 c. sifted flour Topping: 2 Tbsp. butter 2 Tbsp. flour 2 Tbsp. sugar Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, salt and soda; mix well. Add apples and flour. Mix. Put in greased and floured loaf pan. Sprinkle topping over batter. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or longer.
