SOUTHERN STRAWBERRY PIE 3/4 c. sugar 2 Tbsp. cornstarch 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup 1 c. water 3 Tbsp. strawberry-flavored gelatin 1 qt. fresh strawberries 1 baked pie shell Combine sugar, cornstarch, corn syrup and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook, stirring constantly, until clear and thickened. Add gelatin, stirring until thickened; cool. Place strawberries in pie shell; pour in gelatin mixture. Cool until firm. Top with Cool Whip (1/2 carton).
