MEXICAN CORN BREAD 1 c. corn meal 1/2 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 2 eggs 1/4 c. bacon drippings 1 (No. 2) can cream-style corn 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese Mix all but the cheese. Pour 1/2 of the mixture into greased iron skillet and sprinkle grated cheese and 1, 2 or 3 jalapeno peppers (chopped). Pour remaining batter on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.
