BOSTON BROWN BREAD 2 c. water 2 c. raisins or dates 2 tsp. baking soda 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. oleo 1 c. nuts 4 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs Boil for one minute the water, raisins and baking soda; let cool. Add sugar, oleo, eggs, nuts, flour, salt and vanil- la; mix together. Fill 6 (No. 2) cans a little over half full (well greased and lightly floured). Set cans on cookie sheet. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325 degrees.
