DINNER ROLLS

2 cakes yeast
6 c. flour (more, if needed)
3/4 c. shortening
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Scald milk (set aside). Milk should be warm. Dissolve
yeast cakes in 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Beat eggs and add sugar
and salt. Combine warm milk and yeast and add to egg mixture.
Add flour. Mix well and knead for five minutes. Grease a bowl
and let rise in warm place for 1 hour or until double in bulk.
Take dough out of bowl. Knead 5 minutes. Roll out as you
would biscuits. Place in baking pans. Brush with butter and
let rise another 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
P. S. When cutting out rolls, you can use biscuit
cutter.
