APPLE DUMPLINGS 1 pkg. ready-to-bake crescent rolls (8 in a pkg.) 4 tsp. sugar 3 tsp. cinnamon, divided 2 small tart apples, peeled and sliced 1/2 c. water 2 tsp. margarine Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Separate crescent rolls into 8 pieces. Flatten and stretch each piece. Mix sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Roll apple slices in this mixture; divide evenly among the rolls. Fold dough over apples and pinch to close openings. Place in baking dish. Mix water, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and any leftover sugar- cinnamon mixture. Pour over dumplings. Dot each dumpling with margarine. Bake, uncovered, 25 to 30 minutes, until rolls are browned. Yield: 8 dumplings. Exchanges per 1-dumpling serving: 1 bread and 1 fat.
