PATE BRISIE (Makes 9-Inch Crust, Low Calorie) 1 1/4 c. flour 3/4 stick cold butter, cut into bits 2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Blend with fork or pastry blender. Add 3 tablespoons ice water. Toss lightly and form into ball. Knead lightly on floured board. Form into ball, wrap and chill for 1 hour. Roll out and use in favorite pie recipe. This crust is very easy to work with and has a nice cookie taste. Great with Instant Pumpkin Pie.
