BOILED RAISIN CAKE|
1 c. raisins
3 c. cold water
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 3/4 c. flour
Boil raisins in water for 20 minutes. Drain water from
raisins, reserving 1 cup of juice. Let cool. Add soda to
juice. Combine raisins with rest of ingredients and reserved
juice. Blend well. Bake at 350 degrees: use toothpick test for
