1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
2 eggs, beaten well
2 oz. red food coloring
2 tsp. cocoa
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. baking soda
In large cup mix buttermilk, vinegar, 1 teaspoon baking
soda. Set aside. In large bowl mix mixture #1 and Mixture #2,
then add Mixtures #3 and #4 alternately ending with flour mix-
ture. Pour into greased and floured cake pans or Bundt pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
