1 white, yellow, orange or
pineapple cake mix

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese,
1 (3 5/8 oz.) pkg. vanilla
1 can crushed pineapple (20
oz.), drained
1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
1/2 c. crushed walnuts

Make cake as directed on package, using a 9 x 13-inch
cake pan. Cool.
Mix cream cheese until smooth. Make pudding as directed
on package, using only 1 1/4 cups milk. Mix until thickened
and smooth. Cool. Add to cream cheese and mix both until real
smooth. Add drained crushed pineapple and mix again until all
ingredients are blended. Spread over top of cooled cake.
Spread Cool Whip over and top with crushed walnuts. Store in
