PUMPKIN CAKE

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 c. mashed pumpkin, cooked
2 eggs
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
2 c. seedless raisins
2 c. broken pecans

Cream sugar, shortening and pumpkin. Add eggs, beat
until fluffy. Add dry ingredients. Fold in raisins and nuts.
Use 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
