3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
7 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Cream shortening,
sugar and eggs. Add cocoa and vanilla to cream mixture, then
add to dry ingredients. Add chopped nuts and mix by hand until
smooth. Bake in an 8 x 8-inch pan at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes.
