RUSSIAN TEA CAKES 1 c. shortening 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. sugar 2 1/4 c. flour 3/4 c. chopped nuts Combine shortening, salt, vanilla and sugar and beat until creamy. Sift flour 3 times and combine with creamed mixture. Add 3/4 cup chopped nuts. Bake 8 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
