SHRAFFT'S BUTTER COOKIES|
2 c. sugar
1 lb. butter or oleo
3 tsp. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
7 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Cream together sugar and butter. Add slightly beaten
eggs, water and vanilla. Set aside. Sift together 7 cups
flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add gradually to
first ingredients. Pat down and put in refrigerator for about
2 hours. Roll out on floured board (thin). Cut out cookies,
place on lightly greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees until golden
brown, about 6 to 8 minutes.
