DUTCH APPLE CAKE I

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
4 Tbsp. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. butter
2 egg yolks
15 medium apples

Topping:
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Sift dry ingredients; combine with butter and egg yolks
to which milk has been added. Line a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch pan
or grease with shortening, spreading mixture with floured
fingers. Cover in rows with apples cut in 8th's. Cover apples
with topping. Bake in 375 degrees oven until apples are tender and
golden brown crust, about 40 minutes.
