1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. undiluted Carnation milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts
1 c. mini chocolate chips

Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar and eggs; stir in
Carnation milk and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and soda.
Blend in; add nuts and chips. Chill 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for
about 8 minutes or until delicately brown. Frost when slightly
warm with Burnt Butter Glaze.

Burnt Butter Glaze:
2 Tbsp. butter
2 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 c. Carnation milk
Heat butter until golden brown. Beat until smooth
confectioners sugar and Carnation milk.
