THREE HUNDRED DOLLAR CAKE

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
salt
1 stick margarine
1 c. vegetable oil
4 heaping tsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda

Frosting:
1/3 c. can cream
4 heaping tsp. cocoa
1 1/4 stick margarine
1 1/4 Tbsp. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour and sugar, set aside. In saucepan mix
together water, pinch of salt, margarine, oil and cocoa. Let
come to a boil. Pour over flour and sugar and beat good with
spoon. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and beat well. Pour into 18
or 20-inch greased pan and bake 45 minutes at 325 degrees.
Frosting: In saucepan add 1/3 cup can cream with a
little water, cocoa, margarine, powdered sugar and vanilla.
Bring to a boil (do not cook). Punch holes in cake and pour
over cake while hot.
