DATE NUT ROLL|
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk, could use canned
1 c. chopped dates
1 Tbsp. butter
1 c. chopped nuts
Boil sugar and milk to soft ball stage stirring often.
Add dates and butter and stir continually until it reaches soft
ball stage again. Remove from heat and add nuts. Beat until
such consistency as to roll in damp cloth. When cloth is dry
roll in waxed or foil paper. Slice.
