OLD-FASHIONED ROCKS
(Approximately 3 Dozen)
1/3 c. boiling water
2 c. seeded raisins
1/2 c. soft butter or
margarine
1 1/2 c. firmly packed dark
brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour boiling water on raisins and
let cool. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time,
beating until light after each. Add nuts, sifted dry ingredi-
ents and soaked raisins with water. Mix well. Drop by tea-
spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
