PEPPERMINT BROWNIES (Ono!) 2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate (2 squares) 1/2 c. butter or margarine 2 eggs, beaten 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. sifted flour 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine 1/2 to 1 tsp. peppermint extract 2 more sweet chocolate squares 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine green food coloring Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt 2 squares of semi-sweet chocolate and 1/2 cup butter or margarine and set aside. Beat together eggs and sugar. Add flour. Add chocolate mixture. Mix well and bake in 8-inch foil-lined pan. Refrigerate completely. Combine powdered sugar, 4 tablespoons butter or margarine, peppermint extract and green food coloring. Frost and chill until hard. Melt remaining chocolate and butter or margarine. Spread on top. Chill again. Then cut up in luscious bite-size pieces, and eat the whole thing before your family comes home.
