BOURBON BALLS

2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. bourbon (rum may be
substituted)
2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
2 c. crushed vanilla wafers,
or similar plain cookie
1 c. finely chopped pecans or
walnuts, or mixed

Sift cocoa and sugar into a bowl. Stir in bourbon which
has been combined with syrup. Mix well; add crumbs and nuts
and mix well again. Roll into small balls about 3/4 inch in
diameter. Drop into a bowl of powdered sugar, roll around to
coat on all sides, and allow to dry several hours before using.
Freezes well.
