SOUR CREAM CAKE

2 sticks butter, softened
(Land O' Sunshine)
2 1/2 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 (8 oz.) sour cream
3 c. sifted cake flour (Swans
Down cake flour)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. lemon extract
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Soften butter in mixing bowl; have eggs and sour cream
at room temperature. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at
the time (beaten on slow speed). Sift flour and soda together;
add alternately with sour cream. Bake in well greased and
floured 9-inch tube pan for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 325 degrees.
Cool cake in pan 10 to 15 minutes; remove from pan and cool
completely.
