COCONUT POUND CAKE|
1 c. Crisco
1/2 c. butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. coconut extract
3 c. cake flour
1 c. sweet milk
2 c. coconut
Cream shortening and sugar; then add egg yolks, one at
a time. Add flour and milk alternately. Fold in beaten egg
whites and coconut. Bake in a tube pan 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees.
