MOTHER'S JELLY ROLL|
1 1/2 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. water
5 Tbsp. evaporated milk
1 c. self-rising flour
Add sugar to well beaten eggs. Add water and evaporated
milk. Add flour and mix well. Pour batter into well greased,
lightly floured 8 x 14-inch shallow pan. Bake for 10 to 15
minutes at 350 degrees. Turn cake out on cloth sprinkled with sugar.
Spread with soft sharp jelly. Roll into a tight roll and leave
wrapped in cloth until ready to serve.
