CHERRY HORNS

6 c. flour
1 lb. shortening
3 whole eggs
1 c. milk
1 cake yeast
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt

Filling:
2 cans cherries
2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. coconut

Mix flour and shortening like pie crust; then beat eggs.
Heat milk to lukewarm; mix the yeast cake into milk. Add to
the eggs, the sugar and salt; mix together. Add this mixture
to the shortening. Mix and knead well until it leaves the side
of the bowl. Cover board with powdered sugar and cut amount of
dough to roll out into squares. Fill the squares with filling
and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
