PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES|
1/2 c. shortening (half butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugar and egg thoroughly.
Measure flour by drip method or by sifting. Blend all ingredi-
ents. Stir into shortening mixture. Chill dough. Heat oven
to 375 degrees. Roll dough in 1 1/4-inch balls. Place 3 inches apart
on lightly greased baking pan. Flatten crisscross style with
fork dipped in flour. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 3
