PEANUT BUTTER CRISSCROSSES

1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 beaten eggs
1 c. peanut butter
3 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
dash of salt

Cream shortening, sugars and vanilla. Add eggs; beat
thoroughly. Stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients and
stir into creamed mixture. Form into balls. Flatten with the
back of fork. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees
for 10 minutes.
