SOUR CREAM-NUTMEG COOKIES

1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. commercial sour cream
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sifted cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add
egg and sour cream; beat well. Combine flour, baking powder,
soda, salt and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture, beating well.
Stir in pecans. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto
lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10
minutes. Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire
racks. Yield: 5 dozen.
