PINEAPPLE ICING 2 c. sugar 5 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch 1 tall can crushed pineapple 2 Tbsp. butter 4 eggs (whole) 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Mix sugar, flour and salt together. Add pineapple and cook in double boiler for about 5 minutes. Beat whole eggs. Remove mixture from stove and stir eggs in mixture very slowly. Return to double boiler, cooking until thick. Remove from heat and add butter. Cool. Will ice 3 layers.
