1 c. butter or margarine,
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 (8 oz.) pkg. whole, pitted
dates, finely chopped
1 c. oatmeal (quick cooking or
3/4 c. finely chopped nuts

In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat butter
or margarine, sugar and cinnamon until fluffy. With spoon,
stir in dates and oats. Cover and refrigerate dough 2 to 3
hours, until firm. With hands shape dough into 1-inch balls;
roll in nuts. Chill; makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
