CHOCOLATE BROWNIE CAKE|
2 c. flour
1/2 lb. margarine
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
6 Tbsp. milk
1/2 c. nuts
2 c. granulated sugar
6 to 7 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. cooking oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 lb. powdered sugar
Mix flour and granulated sugar together. Heat 1/4
pound margarine, 3 to 4 tablespoons cocoa, water and oil in a
saucepan to boiling point, stirring constantly. Combine these
2 mixtures then add eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, buttermilk and
baking soda. Pour into 9 x 13-inch cake pan or baking dish.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

1 tsp. vanilla
Heat margarine, milk and cocoa to boiling point. Remove
from heat, add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Add
vanilla and nuts. Ice cake while cake is still hot.
