FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE

2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
fruit cocktail with syrup

Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking soda. Add to
dry ingredients eggs and syrup from fruit cocktail. Beat until
smooth. Fold in fruit. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Topping:
1 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar
1 cube margarine
1 small can milk
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
Boil cornstarch, sugar, margarine and milk for 1 minute.
Add remaining ingredients. Pour over cake as soon as it comes
out of oven. Do not take out of pan.
