PECAN SANDIES 1 c. butter or margarine 1/3 c. sugar 2 tsp. water 2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. sifted flour 1 c. pecans Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla; mix well. Add flour and pecans. Chill 3 or 4 hours. Shape into balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees (about 20 minutes). Cool slightly, roll in confectioners sugar.
