TURTLES

1/2 lb. soft caramels (25)
1 1/4 c. pecan halves
2 Tbsp. heavy cream
chocolate coating

Melt caramels with cream over hot water or in microwave.
Let cool about 10 minutes. Arrange pecans in a group of 3 on a
lightly greased baking sheet. Spoon melted caramels over nuts,
leaving tips showing. Let stand at least 30 minutes. Melt
chocolate until smooth. Spread over caramel of turtles or dip
the whole cluster into chocolate. Makes 24.
