DAVE'S VANILLA ICE CREAM AND ICE CREAM BASE

4 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 or 4 1/2 pt. half and half
4 to 5 tsp. vanilla (pure)
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat 4 eggs, gradually add sugar and beat until stiff.
Then add vanilla, salt and 4 pints half and half if using for
ice cream base or 4 1/2 pints if making vanilla ice cream.
Freeze according to ice cream maker instructions.
