SOUR CREAM RAISIN BARS

2 c. raisins
1 c. butter
1 tsp. soda
1 c. brown sugar
1 3/4 c. oatmeal
1 3/4 c. flour
3 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sour cream
2 1/2 tsp. cornstarch

Cook raisins 10 minutes in small amount of water. Drain
and cool. (Put in refrigerator.) Cream brown sugar and butter.
Add oatmeal, soda and flour. Put half of oatmeal mixture in 9
x 13-inch pan. Bake 7 minutes at 350 degrees.
While baking, mix egg yolks, sour cream, sugar and
cornstarch in a saucepan. Mix and boil, stirring constantly,
until thick (about 10 minutes). Add raisins and vanilla, pour
over baked crust. Crumble rest of oatmeal mixture over top and
bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
