SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE

1 c. butter
2 c. plus 4 tsp. sugar (4 tsp.
used for topping)
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan.
Cream butter and 2 cups sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one
at a time. Fold in sour cream and vanilla. Sift flour, baking
powder and salt. Fold into batter. Combine remaining sugar (4
teaspoons), pecans and cinnamon. Place about 1/3 of batter in
pan. Sprinkle in 3/4 cup pecan mixture. Spoon on remaining
batter. Sprinkle on remaining pecans. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
