STREUSEL COFFEE CAKE

Cake:

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter or margarine,
softened
1 c. milk
1 egg

Streusel:
1 c. chopped nuts
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
6 Tbsp. butter

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare streusel. Mix all ingredi-
ents until crumbly. Set aside.
Cake: Beat all ingredients in a large bowl on low speed
for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Spread
half of the cake batter in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle
with half of the streusel. Top with remaining batter. Sprin-
kle with remaining streusel. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
