MIRIAM'S ORIGINAL CHOCOLASSES
(Chip Cookies)
1 c. liquid shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. molasses
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix dry
ingredients; combine with creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoonful
on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 min-
utes. Delicious dipped in milk.
