DANDELION WINE 1 gal. dandelion blossoms (clean) 1 gal. boiling water 4 lb. sugar 1 compressed yeast cake peel from 1 lemon and juice peel from 2 oranges and juice Put blossoms and water together. Let stand 3 days. Put into kettle with lemon and orange peels; boil 10 minutes. Strain and pour back into jar in which blossoms sat for the 3 days. Add the juice from the lemon and oranges (remove seeds). When cold, add sugar and yeast cake. Let stand 3 months. Then it is ready to bottle. This makes a good "spring tonic".
