JOHNSON GRASS JELLY

1 qt. Johnson grass (stems and
all) 5 to 6-inches long
6 c. water
1 box Sure-Jell
6 c. sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice

Cut up one quart Johnson grass (stems and all), 5 to
6-inches long. Boil hard in 6 cups water until mixture has
boiled down to 4 cups. Strain the mixture into the pan you are
going to make jelly in. Add Sure-Jell; bring to a hard boil,
add sugar and lemon juice. Boil 2 minutes, then pour into
sterilized jars.
