OVEN CARAMEL POPCORN 2 c. brown sugar 2 sticks butter or margarine 1/2 c. corn syrup 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 6 qt. popcorn nuts if desired Combine brown sugar, butter, syrup and salt. Heat to boiling and boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add baking soda. Stir well and pour over popped corn in bowl. Add nuts if desired. Spread on a baking sheet. Place in a 200 degrees oven for 1 hour, stirring at 15 minute intervals. Remove from oven and let cool. Store in a covered container to keep crisp.
