SAUSAGE AND APPLESAUCE STUFFING 1 medium onion, chopped fine 1 c. celery, chopped fine 1 (14 oz.) Pepperidge Farm country-style stuffing cubes (green bag) 1 (16 oz.) bag stuffing crumbs 1 pt. applesauce 1 lb. loose sausage 1/4 c. fresh parsley, chopped 1 tsp. poultry seasoning 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted soup stock made from neck and giblets Brown sausage in small pieces; drain. Saute onion, celery and parsley in butter. Add bread cubes and crumbs and poultry seasoning; toss well. Add sausage and mix well. Spoon in applesauce and toss lightly. Add soup stock, 1 ladleful at a time, until soft and lumps together. Will stuff 10 to 12 pound turkey.
