ROLLED DUMPLINGS

1 1/2 c. flour
3 Tbsp. shortening
4 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. salt
1 egg

Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening and then mix
in egg and water. Roll out on floured surface; cut into strips
and then let sit for 20 minutes. Drop into boiling chicken
broth and cook covered until done.
