BAKED APPLE BUTTER 12 c. tart apples, sliced and pared 3 c. apple cider 2 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground cloves Cook apples in cider slowly. Puree; add sugar and spices. Pour into a 9 x 12-inch pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours until thick. Ladle into seven half-pint jars. Process for 10 minutes.
