3 (4-inch) sticks cinnamon
3 bay leaves
1/4 c. whole cloves
1/2 lemon, halved
1/2 orange, halved
4 c. water

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer as long as needed, adding additional
water to keep mixture from drying up.
You can store the batch in the refrigerator, tightly
covered, for several days and reuse as desired.
