MUFFELETTA 1 loaf French bread 4 slices American or Swiss cheese 1 medium onion, sliced (about 6 slices) 4 slices Monterey Jack cheese 4 to 5 black olives, sliced lettuce, shredded 1/2 lb. ham, sliced 1 medium green pepper, sliced (about 6 slices) 1/2 lb. salami 2 jalapeno peppers, sliced creamy Italian dressing tomatoes, sliced Cut bread in half lengthwise and spread with garlic butter and toast until light brown under broiler. Layer in order with ham, American cheese, green pepper and onion slices. Place under broiler until cheese is melted slightly. Top in order with salami, Monterey Jack cheese, jalapeno pepper (to taste) and black olives. Place under broiler again until cheese is melted. Top with lettuce, tomatoes and dressing. Serve hot!
